Interpreting IIHS Vehicle Safety Ratings

August 31st, 2018 by

Our showroom is committed to selling only the safest vehicles. As such, we are delighted to educate our customers with regards to vehicle safety features and the practices of crash testing that all of our vehicles are subject to.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is one of the organizations that performed these tests. It gives a label to each vehicle for various areas of safety. Each test is scored with one of the following results for safety: good, acceptable, marginal or poor.

The IIHS gives these labels for safety for situations in which:

the front hits a barrier
the side of the car is hit
the roof is damaged through a rollover

To test drive vehicles with the "Good" ratings, come to our showroom here at Jaguar Austin for a test drive.
