What if Your Car Pulls to One Side When You Apply the Brakes?

April 30th, 2018 by

Modern brake systems in automobiles are built to maintain an equal amount of pressure on both sides of the vehicle when the brakes are applied. Most vehicles are equipped with an anti-lock braking system that allows the brake system to release pressure on select wheels when a lock-up due to braking condition is sensed. When brakes pull the vehicle to one side or the other, the likelihood of hitting another object grows.

If your brakes pull to the side, then there are two problems that can cause the issue. Either your brake pads are wearing unevenly, or you have debris in your brake line that is blocking pressure from reaching one brake pad or the other. If you detect a pull when applying your brakes, bring your vehicle to our Jaguar repair facility in Austin, Texas for a brake system inspection.
